Cape Town Society for the Blind

Our partnership with the Cape Town Society for the Blind has meaningfully contributed to both our recent renovations and service culture. The Society produced the coffee table sleeves used throughout the hotel, demonstrating that skills development and corporate social investment can be incorporated into projects of this nature without compromising quality or craftsmanship.

Their affiliation has also extended into our operations, with volunteers assisting in administrative and food & beverage roles such as switchboard support and hostess duties.

As our General Manager proudly notes, the collaboration showcases the value of creating fair opportunities for individuals who navigate the world without sight, while encouraging South Africa’s youth to engage, volunteer, and expand their professional networks.

We’ve even adopted our very own penguin, Lagooni, as part of our commitment to protecting these endangered species. When you book a Day Conference Package, R5 per person is donated directly to SANCCOB to support vital conservation efforts. Together we can make a difference when you buy a bracelet for only R50. The bracelet is 100% non-profitable as we proudly support SANCCOB in their effort to help save endangered seabirds (more specifically the African Penguin). All proceeds go directly to SANCCOB to reduce the decline of the African penguin and other seabirds’ population. SACCOB uses this money for medicine, rehabilitation and to raise baby penguins from the incubation stage to adulthood and eventually back into their natural habitats. Your purchase goes a long way.
