On 20 February 2026, Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa joined South Africa, lead by CHOC Foundation’s Flip-Flop Day,
a fun yet powerful initiative raising awareness
for children battling cancer.

From retail teams to admin departments,
workforces across the country donned their flip-flops, sparking curiosity and meaningful conversations in professional spaces about this important cause.

Guests and staff could support by purchasing Flip-Flop Day stickers at reception, and donations were encouraged via shared links across our hotel’s touchpoints, helping raise both awareness and vital funds for CHOC’s life-changing work.

At Lagoon Beach Hotel & Spa, we proudly support meaningful causes that make a real difference. In 2025, we partnered with Relate Bracelets for Cancer Awareness Month, championing both men’s and women’s health.

Guests could purchase the symbolic blue bracelets for male testicular cancer and pink bracelets for female breast cancer at our reception, helping raise awareness while supporting those affected.

Beyond sales, our team actively engaged in sharing information and promoting the campaign, reinforcing our commitment to community wellness and the fight against cancer.
